Instructions
  1. Royal Icing Directions:
  2. Using the standing mixer, combine the egg whites, cream of tarter, vanilla and powder sugar and mix until combined and stiff peaks form
  3. Using the piping bag, pipe out 24 thick snowflakes
  4. Allow to dry overnight
  5. Cupcake Directions
  6. Preheat oven to 350.
  7. Line cupcake pan with the purple cupcake liners
  8. In a medium bowl, add the cake mix, butter, milk, and vanilla extract, food coloring and stir until combined
  9. Fill cupcake liners 3/4 of the way full.
  10. Bake in the oven for about 21 minutes.
  11. Pull out the cupcakes and allow to cool before frosting.
  12. Frosting Directions
  13. Using a stand mixer, combine all ingredients and mix on medium speed.
  14. Mix until you see stiffed peaks in your frosting.
  15. Split the frosting into two bowls, leaving one of them white
  16. Mix in the 1-3 drops of purple food coloring into the second bowl and mix until you get a light lilac color
  17. Using a butter knife, scoop the lilac color onto three sides of the piping bag
  18. Spoon in white icing
  19. Frost the cooled cupcakes and sprinkle some white sprinkles
  20. Carefully peel of a snowflake and place into the side of the frosting
  21. Enjoy!
