Star Wars Decorated Oreos
Ingredients
For Chewbacca:
1/2 (15.35 ounce) package Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
1/2 (12 ounce) package black candy melts wafers
1 (12 ounce) package milk chocolate chips
Candy eyeballs
Brown jimmies sprinkles
White nonpareil sprinkles
For Leia:
1/2 (15.35 ounce) package Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
1 (12 ounce) package white candy melts wafers or vanilla almond bark
1/2 (12 ounce) package milk chocolate chips
Candy eyeballs
Heart sprinkles
Rolo Caramel Candies (2 for each cookie)
Instructions
For Chewbacca:
- Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
- Melt milk chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring vigorously after in 30-second increments, until smooth.
- Dip each cookie into melted chocolate. Remove cookie, tapping gently against the side of the bowl, allowing excess candy to return to the bowl. If air bubbles form, pop them with a toothpick. Place the cookie onto the waxed paper.
- Immediately press two candy eyeballs onto each dipped cookie. Sprinkle with brown jimmies. Allow to set completely before proceeding to the next step. To speed the process, cookies can be refrigerated or placed in the freezer in a single layer.
- Tap to remove excess brown jimmies. Melt black candy coating according to package directions. If the candy is too thick to pour, add 1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening. Stir well. Do not add water. You can add up to 1 tablespoon of coconut oil per bag of candy wafers.
- Transfer melted candy to a piping bag or zip top freezer bag with the corner snipped. Create a solid line across the cookie.

Using a toothpick and/or sterilized tweezers, apply white nonpareil sprinkles along the black line..

8. Allow cookie to set completely at room temperature or refrigerate for faster results. Store in an airtight container as room temperature.
For Leia:

5. Use the chocolate to create a hairline and then fill the cookie from the hairline to the edge. Immediately press two unwrapped Rolo Caramel candies against each cookie to be the hair buns.
6. Using a toothpick and/or sterilized tweezers, apply a tiny amount of white candy melts to the candy eyes and a heart sprinkle, placing each to form Leia’s face.
7. Allow cookie to set completely at room temperature or refrigerate for faster results. Store in an airtight container as room temperature.
