Valentines Day Craft Stick Projects
These Valentines Day Craft Stick Projects are so much fun and so easy for kids to make. With a Valentines day bee, Unicorn, Owl, Love bug, Fox and ladybug, the kids have tons of ideas to choose from.
Materials:
- Jumbo craft sticks
- Small craft sticks
- Craft paper
- Craft fluffs/ Pom poms
- Craft paint and paint brushes
- Doily
- Wiggle eyes (asst sizes)
- Chenille stems
- Black marker
- Craft foam
- Craft foam glitter hearts
- ribbon or yarn
- Scissors
- Glue
Directions
- Glue your craft sticks together per desired project (triangle for fox, rectangle shape for bee, owl, love bug and unicorn – see images)
- Paint your bee yellow and black (alternate the craft sticks- I did 3 yellow in a row for the head of the bee)
- Paint your unicorn white, love bug red and owl red
- Paint your lady bug red and black – see attached photos
- Once your craft sticks are dry you can add the faces
- Glue a white heart doily to your red craft sticks for both your love bug and owl
- Draw on your face for your love bug and add some chenille stem antennas with glitter pom poms on top and a heart bow
- Add some wiggle eyes, beak and heart wings to your owl
- For your bee add 2 large heart wings, some wiggle eyes and black antennas
- Unicorn- add some wiggle eyes, some hearts for the nose, cut one heart in half for ears, a glitter craft foam horn and some yarn for hair
- For your lady bug, use your finger to add some black spots or cut out black circles from craft foam, add some black chenille stem antennas, and wiggle eys
- Fox- over the back of your craft sticks with craft paper (any kind you desire) add some ears to the top, a heart bow, cut a heart in half and trim it to make the eyes/ face, add some black dots for eyes, and a pom pom nose.
